Fresh artist challenge for this week! This week let's talk about color. Color can change your emotional and mental mood. This week we're going to use large watercolor washes to help shift your moods.
Open your sketchbooks up and grab your supplies. Pick whichever color is most resonance to you right now. I use yellow to deal with anxiety. Fill your page with your chosen color. Trust yourself.
Pick a piece of wax paper and smash it in between and turn to the next page. Do this for numerous pages and let the colors pour out of you until you feel like you got what you needed out of the process.
Check in with yourself after you finished painting. Where are you at? Make a note on the back of your completed page about how you're feeling emotionally, spiritually, mentally and/or physically. Then shut your sketchbook and go do something else.
Try this exercise two or three times this week. Check in at the end and write how you feel each time. See how this works for you. See what thoughts and concepts come up for you.
